IF YOU AREN’T PRACTICING VALUE ANALYSIS WITH A BIG “V” YOU ARE MISSING 3 ATTRIBUTES THAT ARE REQUIRED TO BE A VIRTUOSO PERFORMER
“The Next Generation Value Analysis Practitioners Are Practicing Value Analysis With A Big “V” That Is Enabling Them To Be Valorous, Vibrant And Vigorous With Their Value Analysis Performance”
We all believe we are practicing value analysis with a BIG “V” (valorous, vibrant and vigorous), when most of us are really practicing value analysis with a little “v” (vague, vanilla and vain). You might not be practicing value analysis at all! The differences in these two approaches (big “V” or little “v”) will either guarantee you a great leap forward in your value analysis outcomes, or leave you languishing in self pitty. It is your choice to make. Now, let’s look at these attributes more closely:
1. Valorous Showing courage in the face of peril or risk is the hallmark of a virtuoso’s performance. Their world is full of challenges, not threats to their existence. They can see the big picture and they know with certainty that their value analysis skills can win over even their toughest critics.
2. Vibrant Virtuoso’s performers are excited and stimulated by their work and create the same excitement with whomever they are in contact with. They move to and fro rapidly and are lively in all of their interactions; people want to be part of their value analysis teams and get the recognition that comes with it.
3. Vigorous Strong and vigorous leadership is one of the virtuoso performer’s greatest attributes. They are energetic, dynamic and always growing personally and professionally. No one is left behind, ignored or left out of their value analysis initiatives.
We are all looking for the magic bullet to propel our value analysis programs to the next level of savings performance, when in reality there is no magic bullet. The secret to value analysis success, if there is one, is to not be vague, vanilla or vain with your value analysis performance, but instead promote the attributes of valorous, vibrant and vigorous in all of your value analysis interactions. These attributes will yield enormous return-on-investment for you and your healthcare organization.
